Open Mic Spotlight

Jonathan Wimpee is a local musician from Gadsden, AL. He plays in too many bands to count but most notably for the Molly Maguires and Milele Roots. He is currently working on a new solo album recording with Mitch Wood. The album will have a slew of Chatt-famous guest performances including Ivan Garcia and Yattie Westfield. You can hear a sneak peak of some on these songs in this episode.

Butch Ross is well known in Chattanooga for his mountain dulcimer playing, but it's different than you would expect. He uses the instrument in a modern way by incorporating loop pedals and playing modern covers like Death Cab for Cutie. It's quite original and very enjoyable to listen to.
